Unsubsidized Stafford Loans Unsubsidized
Stafford Loans are federal Stafford Loans presented to undergraduate
and graduate students, despite of financial need. In order to apply for
an unsubsidized Stafford Loan you must complete and submit the
government's Free Application for Federal Student Aid form (FAFSA).
Unsubsidized undergraduate school loans are not granted to students
based on need. Consequently these loans need borrowers to pay any
interest that accumulates on their loans while in school, during
deferment and grace periods.
On the other hand, Interest on subsidized federal student loans is paid
by the U.S. government during those similar time periods. For both
kinds of federal loans, borrowers are permitted to defer any payments
until after they graduate. |
